Modupe Abodunde started Deeŕe Lifestyle (pronounced "Dearie") after being a stay at home mom for 9 months. Although she enjoyed taking care of her son, she wanted to do more. And so, she went exploring after her other passions. After some soul searching, the International Business Masters Degree holder embarked on an adventure of making "something" out of her love of colours, the gift of sketching, and adoration for children. She followed her heart and decided to create fun and colourful African print clothes for kids.
When Modupe started Deeŕe Lifestyle in 2013, there were very few ready-to-wear Ankara (African wax print) outfits for kids, but she recognized that it was something that people loved. And, that is how it all began.
Years later, Modupe decided to expand her portfolio to design African-inspired clothing for adults as well. Deeŕe Lifestyle creates colourful, fun and fashionable Ankara designs for women of all ages, because growing up doesn’t mean we grow boring, right? RIGHT!
