📦 Once payment is confirmed, you can setup your pickup with your shipper. We are required to verify items are being shipped to Africa (overseas). Your ship to manifest must disclose the location in Africa items are being shipped to. It is your responsibility to arrange all shipping. We do not ship items we are a bulk sale warehouse facility for stores. We have multiple warehouses in Ontario, California USA. You will be provided with the warehouse and wire details upon winning. Do research and get the best deal you can with shipping. Find your own shipper to pickup and ship items to you. Our responsibility is to ensure all items are handed to your shipper 100% intact and video document all handover deliveries. Your shipper will also sign our documentation of manifest release which we will share with you along with the video of our loading your shipment unto your shippers truck or into a container.
FAQs
Register first. Fill out the online form once you register to get approved for a credit line. There are no credit card payments. To place a bid/order, simply select the item you’re interested in, enter your bid amount, and confirm. You can only spend up to your credit limit. For example if your credit limit is $10,000 you will not be able to buy a bulk sale order of $11,000.
No, all orders and bids are final once placed. Please bid carefully, as retracting bids may not be allowed.
Once an auction or buy it now is completed by the winner. You will receive an email with payment details, item lot winning manifest (full detail manifest list) and pickup location. All buyers are responsible for sourcing a shipping company, pickup company, and shipping items to their destination. We recommend finding a shipping company you are comfortable with prior to bidding or purchasing any items from our platform.
There are no hidden or additional fees to use this platform. There are no additional fees beyond your purchase amount that we charge. However you will need to check with your cargo/shipping company and ask for all the additional fees and taxes they may charge you to export and import the item into your home country.
It is your responsibility as the buyer to arrange pickup and delivery to your location. We highly recommend you find a shipper who can help you pickup and ship products to your country. You can inform the shipper that the pickup location is in Ontario, California, USA. Zip code 91761. This is all they would need to give you an estimate. For air freight it generally takes about 7 days. For ocean freight it takes about 5-7 weeks depending on where you are in Africa. Ocean freight is significantly cheaper but takes much longer.
Upon winning you will be emailed the following
1. Wire details for you to make your payment. You have 5 business days to wire the exact funds in full for the items won. Failure to pay within 5 days will mean account suspension and items will be put back up for sale. We ask that you only send the exact amount of the winning no more no less.
2. Manifest Information: You will receive a detailed manifest of all items won in your bulk bid. You will need to share this with your shipper.
3. Warehouse Pickup Address and Contact Details: Your confirmation of winning email will contain the exact warehouse your winning items should be picked up from. All our warehouses are in Ontario, California. You need to organize your winnings pickup with a shipper of your choice.
You are responsible for finding a shipping company and organizing pickup from our warehouse and delivery to your destination African country. We highly recommend before bidding or purchasing that you find a shipping company to work with. Simply let them know they will be picking up from Ontario, California, USA – Zip Code 91761. All items including the wire information to pay for the items, phone number, shipping manifest and address of the pickup warehouse in Ontario, California 91761 – is provided to you upon winning.
Yes, we record all items being loaded for shipping to your shippers truck or into your container. We send you the video for your records along with signed documentation by the shipping company trucker who will verify all items have been received and loaded. Once items are put on the truck all liability shifts to the shipper.
No, all shipment documentation is verified to be shipped to Africa or outside North America from our warehouse. We do not accept shipment rerouting. All documentation is inspected and verified by a 3rd party prior to pickup and at pickup for export. Due to our contract with the manufacturers and retailers we are not legally allowed to sell to anyone within North America or who plans on distributing products within North America. All violations and legal actions are taken seriously and swiftly if items are found not to have been shipped to Africa.
You are given a credit-line to bid and buy with. Once you win an auction or purchase an item you have 3 business days to send the wire. Once we have received the wire there are no refunds. Failure to send funds upon winning will result in account suspension. Due to the nature of our platform we do not support refunds of any kind unless we at Marketplace Africa determine that your shipment has an issue during our final inspection of your order.
